Zanimljivo je da je zova izuzetno ljekovita biljka koja jako lijepo miriše

a pčele neće na nju,

Ima je u parkovima i na livadama i dugo se primjenjuje u narodnoj medicini.

Cvjetovi zove u puni eteričnih ulja u kojima ima tanina , pektina i flavonoida.

Plod ima mnogo glikozida, tanina, malo eteričnog ulja. šećer , voćne kiseline

vitramina pogotovo C i B te selena.

Najčešće se koristi za pripremanje čaja a u kombinaciji sa lipom snižava tjelesnu

temperaturu.

Sok od zove je osvježavajući a pomaže kod smanjenja kašlja.
